I am really loving matte nails which takes a twist on the traditional glossy finish of nail paint. The matte look give nails complete edge.
This grundgy look was very popular on the catwalks for Autumn/ Winter 2013. Major designer’s such as Alaxander Wang featuring this stand out look.
Aside from being pleasing to the eye, I like the matte finish for it’s practicality, I find that it dries easily and that a second coat is usually not required. I also find that the contrasting effect of a matte nail polish to a non matte polish is really fascinating, they bear no closeness as each brings with it a different take on fashion. As cliche as it might sound, matte nails almost give off a rock and roll vide which I love!
One of my favourite brands have added matte paint to their already growing Nail Effect Collection. Barry M’s Matte Nail Paint is the perfect ingredient for Autumn/ Winter covering a range of warm and earthy colours. The nail paint comes in five scrumptious shades; Caramel, Vanilla, Crush, Mocha and Expersso.
